ARIA FRITTA (HOT AIR)

Performance event during the preview of “The Fall Of The Rebel Angels” exhibition curated by Vanya Balogh.

An ironic attempt to catch ‘l’aria fritta’ -literally fried air, meaning hot air- which generously blows around Venice during the Biennale. The artist vigorously stirs the air with a paint brush, but only a greasy trace of an imaginary fried oxygen&carbon dioxin marks the paper. The curator offers the work to the public, with a scholarly interpretation inscribed for future reference on the same artwork.

From an idea produced in Varese in 1999 by Gretel Fehr and Maria Teresa Gavazzi, a new production by Maria Teresa Gavazzi assisted by Beatrice Carugo and co-produced by Francesco Carugo.

Un evento performance durante l’anteprima della mostra “The Fall Of The Rebel Angels” curata da Vanya Balogh.

Il tentativo ironico di catturare ‘l’aria fritta’ che soffia in abbondanza a Venezia in tempo di Biennale. L’artista agita il pennello per aria, ma a lasciare il segno sul quadro di carta paglia è solo la traccia d’unto di un’ipotetica frittura mista di ossigeno e anidride carbonica. Al curatore il compito di offrire l’opera al pubblico accompagnata dalla sua dotta interpretazione, che per futura memoria è anche incisa sul quadro stesso.
Da un’idea prodotta a Varese nel 1999 da Gretel Fehr e Maria Teresa Gavazzi, una nuova produzione di Maria Teresa Gavazzi assistita da Beatrice Carugo e co-prodotta da Francesco Carugo.
